Potential was established with a clear purpose:

From the outset, we wanted to differentiate ourselves from other consultancy firms by taking a business first, pragmatic approach to human capital advisory. Our vision is to act as an integral partner to clients, taking time to deeply understand their human resource needs, their environment and their strategy.

Mark Hawes

Founder of Potential

Potential was founded by Mark Hawes, who has accumulated over 20 years of experience in the realm of human resources and talent management. Throughout this time he has led HR and Talent  teams across financial services on both buy and sell sides.

Mark partnered with and consulted numerous leaders across various sectors. With a reputation for open and honest collaboration his interactions revealed a common need for a novel approach to people strategy, especially as organisations were experiencing rapid growth. This realisation served as the catalyst for the establishment of Potential, with a vision to provide innovative and effective solutions in the ever-evolving landscape of people management.

Real Estate Manager

Having received funding, the requirement was to increase headcount to launch a new brand. Potential alongside the founders to build a management team and hire an asset management function;

Created a new organisational design and a costed plan for recruitment.

Designed branding and pipeline for external and internal talent, implemented attraction, roles, responsibilities and goals to set new hires up for success.
